2023 Durango, CO and Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta

October 8-16, 2023

Visit some of the most magnificent locations and unimaginable landscapes in the Colorado Rockies, then enjoy the spectacle of the sky filled with the incredible color, beauty and whimsy of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta! 

 Your Durango and Albuquerque adventure will leave you with a lifetime of memories. It includes:

  • 3 nights of full hookup camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountain town of Durango
  • Welcome bar-b-q dinner
  • Bus trip to Silverton along the magnificent Million Dollar Highway, experiencing autumn in the San Juan Mountains as the aspens explode in color
  • Visit the historic mining town of Silverton (lunch on your own)
  • Return to Durango on the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Steam Train
  • Visit to D&SNG Museum
  • Continental breakfast one morning.

On your own, explore the splendor of autumn in the Colorado Rockies. Visit Mesa Verde National Park to discover some of the most notable and best-preserved cliff dwellings in the world (National Parks Pass or admission required). Stand in four states at once at Four Corners.

If you prefer, take in the history and ambience of Durango, or simply kick back and relax at our beautiful campground base.

Moving to Albuquerque, you’ll experience the excitement of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.

  • 5 nights of water & electric camping (pump-out available for a fee) at the Balloon Fiesta Park
  • Free shuttles to the balloon field
  • 4 session tickets per person for launch field access during morning launches or evening balloon glows and fireworks
  • Visit to Indian Pueblo Cultural Center
  • Bus tour of some of Albuquerque’s historical and cultural attractions including Old Town, San Felipe de Neri Church and Plaza quaint shops, sections of historic Route 66, and even the International Rattlesnake Museum if you dare!.
  • Lunch at Route 66 Diner, a local favorite dedicated to preserving the legacy of America’s Mother Road
  • Aerial tram to the top of Sandia Peak
  • Lunch at El Pinto, one of the Southwest’s premier Hispanic restaurants
  • Donuts and juice two mornings during launches (bring your own coffee and chair)
